Current Projects

Capital investments expanding capacity, services, and opportunity in Saginaw.

Sargent Docks & Terminal is actively investing in facilities and partnerships that strengthen bulk handling, manufacturing capability, and local employment. Below is a concise summary of the major projects underway or in advanced planning.

Gypsum Pelletizing Plant

Construction of an on-site gypsum pelletizing plant. While the primary focus is gypsum pellet production, the facility is being designed with the flexibility to process other materials as well, supporting future expansion and new opportunities.

New Ship Loading System

Design and construction of a modern ship loading system for efficient loading of barges and larger vessels. The system will expand our loading capacity and create new opportunities for Sargent Docks and its customers.

Calcium Chloride Well

We are partners in a calcium chloride well currently being drilled in the area. The project has the potential to create more than 130 high-paying jobs for the Saginaw region.

Expanded Bulk Storage

Construction of a new dome and flexible storage building to increase on-site bulk storage capacity.

Bagging Facility

A new bagging facility is under development. This will expand our own bagged product offerings and allow us to provide contract bagging services.
